Home to The Darling - the only luxury hotel in NSW to be awarded a Forbes 5-Star rating (and recognised for three consecutive years), it also features the award-winning $100-million The Star Event Centre. We’ve played host to major domestic and international acts since 2013, such as the AACTA Awards, the ARIA Awards, and world-renowned musical talents - Coldplay, Ricky Martin, Tina Arena, and Alicia Keys. International nightclub Marquee adds a further musical dimension.

The name of this $100 million building in Sydney’s Pyrmont precinct is the Star Events Centre, a 3,000 seat facility that provides a medium sized but flexible entertainment and function venue. Its design aesthetic, delivered by Fitzpatrick + Partners, is driven both by its functions, as well as the structure of the building. Happy birthday to The Star Gold Coast! The property is today celebrating its 35th birthday, after first opening to the public on November 23, 1985. Originally called The Conrad Jupiters Casino and Resort, the iconic establishment was renamed Jupiters Casino in 2010, before changing to The Star Gold Coast in 2017.

Momofuku Seiōbo boasts two hats from the Good Food Guide and was voted Gourmet Traveller Magazine’s No.1 restaurant in Australia in 2016. Sokyo has received one hat, BLACK Bar & Grill is one of Sydney’s most celebrated steak restaurants, and the newly-arrived Flying Fish is one of the city’s most iconic seafood experiences.
In 2019, The Star Sydney also opened ‘CHUUKA’, our first off-property restaurant on iconic Jones Bay Wharf, enhancing our commitment to delivering world-class dining and entertainment to Sydneysiders, domestic visitors and international guests.
