Lake Michigan Poker Run 2019
TIP-UP TOWN USA is Michigan’s longest running winter festival, this year our event is January 16 and 17th and will include Side by Side Racing, Polar Bear Dip, Games on Stage and in the Village, 5K Fun Run, Snowmobile Drag Racing, Poker Run. On August 23, also known as 'Shootout Eve,' powerboaters will hit the Lake for the biggest poker run of the summer: the Shootout Poker Run, sponsored by Poly Lift and LakeExpo.com. Founded by Detroit Tigers great Vic Wertz in 1982, the Wertz Warriors have been riding their snowmobiles through Northern Michigan to raise funds for Special Olympics Michigan.
Celebrating their 37th Anniversary in 2018, the Wertz Warriors have traveled over 18,000 miles and raised over $8.8 Million to support the State Winter Games of Special Olympics Michigan.
